“Little Dancing Girl” and “On to the Show”, two familiar tunes from the Laurel & Hardy films, are performed by the Italian classical pianist Alessandro Simonetto and illustrated with clips from Laurel & Hardy comedies.
The music was written by Leroy Shield (1893-1962), who was responsible for most of the background music in the Hal Roach comedies between 1930 and 1936. The recordings are from the new cd, "Leroy Shield / Laurel & Hardy, the Original Piano Music", performed and produced by A. Simonetto. Aevea Æ16024 - ℗ © 2016 OnClassical
